More like belt driven. This was my old Buell M2 Cyclone, an absolute torque monster. I stopped riding a few years ago after seeing a red stain on the highway, a bike turned over in the median, and an ambulance with a troop of people carrying a stretcher covered in bed sheets toward it.

I'll miss riding it from time to time, but for the sake of my own safety and my wife not having to become a widow, I'll stick to twice the number of tires
